Learn about the new community gardens being built in Burlington and apply for an allotment plot (lottery for plots to be held at the end of March.)
Bring a non-perishable food item for food bank donation.

This Gardening Expo is held at Vaughan’s City Hall. This annual event is more than just seeds! Check out vendors, local organizations and guest speakers as well. I was there last March and out of all the seedy Saturdays I attended, this was one of the best. My friend and Edible Wild Food Educator, Karen Stephenson from http://www.ediblewildfood.com/ will have a table there with her books, spices, teas and more!

5th Annual Seedy Saturday Event
The event is hosted by the North Bay Heritage Gardeners, Near North Locavores, North Bay area Master Gardeners, The North Bay Horticultural Society, St. Andrews United Church Outreach Committee and Field Good Farms.
This year we will have a seed exchange room and a vendor area with over 25 environmentally friendly businesses. We also have two keynote speakers, a local apiarist covering the topic Bees and Pollination and a master gardener presenting a Seed Saving Workshop.
The entry to the event is free but we encourage attendees to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the food bank.

Attend one of the eight workshops being offered by Kitchener Master Gardeners and vendors, bring along seeds to swap, or purchase seeds from local vendors. Wares will include heritage varieties. There will be displays from local community groups about their activities and Master Gardeners will be available to answer your questions.

Swap table: each item brought to the table allows you to exchange it for another item. The items can be seeds, plants, cuttings, booklets, magazines and any other garden related objects.
